"We know that on June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as the official flag for the United States of America.

The Declaration of Independence made this resolution necessary. Previously, each colony had their own flag, which they flew on colonial vessels. England considered these armed vessels pirate ships and hanged their crews when they were captured.

The American flag was designed to represent the new union of the thirteen original states: it would have thirteen stripes, alternate red and white, and thirteen stars, white on a blue field."

Confederate Flag History

About The Confederate Flags

Has updated current events on it about SC Governor and walmart removing brands featuring confederate memorials and such.

Now don't get me wrong, I can see how the flag would make people think of racial slurs, because people who fought in the civil war supposedly flew the flag to represent them meeting oppression head on for their beliefs.

However no actual southerner of the war actually flew the flag that wanted slavery to continue. It was actually done and created so people would rally against slavery, was created originally by two african american slaves who wanted to be in the war, who illegally became soldiers in the war, to continue their ways of life as slaves, because they liked their lives that way.

It was Union observists who wanted slave women to be their wh*res and wives who wanted them freed so they could be with them. That is actually what the real object of the war was about. The Union attempted to invade and change certain politics and the southern people said "No" and the Union decided they'd start a war for their just cause to free slaves. "That was wrong".. not saying it was this way everywhere BUT for some communities it was.

It would be nice if some people would educate themselves with truth.
